So, yeah. One of us is alive. That'd be me - Elly.
Anyway.
So I went down to the shore (Jersey shore, obviously) to the Boardwalk the other day and now I have this cute little mini-gumball machine!
Also, I had my first day of High School today. D: It didn't really sink in until lunch when I had to sit by myself next to a couple of girls talking about how much they missed the good chocolate chip cookies and how ridiculous the line was and how cute all the freshmen looked. That was when it hit me -- I'm a freshman in High School. HOLY. CRAP.
But, regardless.
So, this week on "Random Crap Nobody Cares About But That I Post in my Journal Anyway So DEAL WITH IT"!
I've recently started reading actual books (yeah, it's a miracle, isn't it?). This happened when I picked up the manga called Cirque du Freak that was apparently based off of an English-language book, published in America by NORMAL companies, by the same title (in the US anyway) by a guy named Darren Shan. Conveniently (?), the main character is also Darren Shan. I thought it was a self-insert at first, but then I saw on Wikipedia that that's a pen name. And then I read the actual 12-book series (which was EPIC WIN, btw), and I was no longer quite so sure.
I'd recommend this series - I really would, especially to people who like manga like D.Gray-man and the like. It's a vampire series, of course, that's actually aimed towards guys, for once. Younger guys, but even though I'm a bit older than the target-audience and a girl, I still rather enjoy it and don't find it childish at all.
In fact, I liked it so much, I got the other series by Mr. Shan, The Demonata!
... And f#ck this is book is gorey! D:
... But who said that was a bad thing??
I'm on the eighth book in the series, Wolf Island, which is the most recent one currently available in the US -- dammit, the U.K. just has it made, don't they?!! -- And I would have to recommend this one, too, but only to horror fans. Like, horror, horror fans. Seriously. It gets really gross at times. It's not quite as heartfelt as CDF, but it doesn't have to be. It's better in its own ways.
And while we're on that literary note -- I've been working on that old fanfic of mine/ours, "Grenaheim Academy", in bits and pieces here and there since I've/we've been gone for however many years/months/idk I've/we've been gone for. The story has since changed dramatically from what it was going to be like, and I might actually want to go back and edit the first chapter (though I probably won't, since I'm far too lazy). I've gotten two more chapters in a completed-draft stage. Not completely satisfied with all of the details, though. It'll probably be a little while longer until I'm finally satisfied and decide to release them to t3h 1nt3rw3bs, but I'm anxious to work on Chapter IV, so that probably won't be too long from now (hopefully).
In other news -- D.Gray-man is the awesomest manga. LIEK EVAR. That's all I'm saying. JUST READ IT GODDAMMIT.
And. Also. Grenaheim website. [link] . Visit. Be spoiled. Want moar. I know you want to.
Other stuff. I've been mostly hogging up time on the computer to bear the children of -- I mean, watch videos on -- YouTube. My account is ruinedshadows there, and like this one, it used to be shared by Lily. She still has the password but hasn't been on there in forever. Let's see some samples from the world of my favorites, shall we?

I rather like that AMV! (all of them. The last one's my favorite of them all, though, ironically.
There are plenty of others, but that's just a taste of what I've come across recently.
And that pretty much sums it up. Oh! And props to ~KidaNoche, ~aspiekid0101, ~DeathByDarkness, and ~karateangel for realizing I'm alive and commenting on my new piece.
SPEAKING OF COMMENTS.
Somebody freaking comment on Dancin' Shoes!! I don't like it as much anymore, now that I few months have passed, but I still kind of like it. And no one's commented on it! Somebody, please! Tell me something about it!!
And that's it.

As far as scans go, I've found none past vol. 3, but I do co-own an Et Cetera fanclub over here: ~ClubEtCetera Where we have fanfics, fanart, etc. in the favorites. :3 You can also join the club just by watching it!
(*is shot for shameless-plugging*)
Ow... And thank you for commenting, by the way.
